The Fastest Check Out In The West

Hi Wonderful Friend!

You know Uniqlo. Basically, the Japanese Gap for those of you unfamiliar, taking over the planet with pretty well made clothing for a very reasonable price.

Uniqlo is owned by Tadashi Yanai, the most successful businessman in Japan and owner of its parent company Fast Retailing, which just got faster.

You see, years ago, Japan experienced a shortage of workers and Fast Retailing felt the pinch. In order to keep their stores moving, they adopted a self check out system faster and more efficient than you can imagine.

Introduced in 2019 in Japan, these unassuming machines ask you to simply place your items into the bin and instantly, I mean in two seconds, your itemized total appears on the screen.

This year, they are finally in New York.

The process is so quick. It is almost unnerving.

At first I thought the bill was from the previous customer.

Then I thought, no robot, I don’t have ten items.

Yes I did. Exactly.

The machine is so quick and accurate, I walked out worrying about the whole of mankind. How in the world are humans going to compete with this technology?

Watch this you tube video for yourself HERE.

Fast just got faster. You may want to go see for yourself and pick up a tank top to get through the rest of this heat wave!

Enjoy!

XO
