#LiveLoveLift

Hi Wonderful Friend!

Marc Jacobs and Instagram are like peanut butter and jelly. The 58 year old living-legend-of-all-things-fashion designer made IG his friend early on with non-stops LEWKS and his now 10.2 million followers are glued to his plastic surgery updates!

That’s right! Marc had a facelift and took everyone along for the ride!

Covered in bandages and way too many tubes, Marc very cooly posted #LiveLoveLift and to those who know, we knew.

Generously, he divulged all the deets too! Dr. Andrew Jacono, NYC,performed his unique deep plane method on Marc where he lifts only under the muscle layer to ensure a smooth look, not a pulled look.

Shame free and happy to share his experience, Marc is opening up in order to end the stigma around plastic surgery and, I hope, to end the secrecy around aging gracefully. Most of the famous faces frozen in time rarely come from a jar.

For full disclosure, my nose and I had a little run in with a car when I first moved to NYC in the mid-90’s and it changed into a slight Z-shape. I could see the difference but most could not. Plastic surgery helped me stop thinking about the accident when I looked in the mirror. It also balanced a pretty pronounced little upturn I had naturally and was happy to edit.

Here’s a shot of the upturn (and the perm!) some time in the 80’s. For a look at today’s nose, check out my new website. hollygetty.com

Enjoy!
