Mining JOY!

Hi Wonderful Friend!

If 2022 were a hairstyle, it would be the celebrity-inspired-one you spent two hours working and re-working in order to appear “effortless”, which lasted exactly one minute after you exited your Uber, arriving at your destination amidst a surprise wintery mix.

Feels like this year is already requiring a lot of prep and not giving us a ton to show for it.

It’s ok 2022, I’m not mad at you. Quite the opposite, actually. I see a slow roll of positivity poking through the gloom of what surrounds us these days.

It’s not visible to the naked eye quite yet but if you dig a bit, JOY is there.

One key to mining this JOY is to have something joyful in your back pocket. A thought ready to go at a moment’s notice which makes you smile.

Babies are super helpful here. So are puppies and kittens. Visualizing those squeezable little faces moves the gloom immediately to the side.

Sounds pretty basic, doesn’t it? Think of something sweet and change your day…blah, blah, blah.

Honing in on the right image for you is a seriously helpful tool in difficult times.

Training your brain to shift from a negative thought to an immediately positive thought is a heavy-duty super power.

It’s an injection of hope controlled by you.

Be sure to take your time selecting the image you choose. It’s best if you know the aforementioned baby, puppy or kitten so your heart is involved.

Moments you have had, like the first kiss, are very good. Or moments you have yet to have, like the new home or the big performance on the grand stage are wonderful too.

Images will become more detailed as time goes by, they will feel real and very in-the-moment and attract other good feeling thoughts to your mind.

So, next time you are stiffening up reading the front page of the Times, stop and call up your moment. Stay in it and live there for a minute. Let it take your joyful place.

Here are a few images to get you in the mood. : )

Enjoy!

XO
