Introducing The Alpha Generation, Could They Be The Ultimate Consumers?

Hi Wonderful Friend!

The Alpha generation is here! Any tiny person you know 8yrs old and under falls into this category. They follow Gen Z (yes, it’s alphabetical) and their parents are Millennials.

Alphas are the first generation born entirely in the 21st century. Gracing our earth between 2011 and 2025, Alpha’s are predicted to reach 2 BILLION worldwide by 2026 making them the largest generation ever.

The Millennial parent/Alpha child bond is fierce, almost obsessive. Millennial parents know exactly what to do when raising their children, thank you very much, and advice is not necessary. Like everything they do, Millennials will be crushing this parenting thing and molding it to their preferences.

Pay attention to a wave of greatly improved, surprisingly edgy baby stuff. Millennials want it all for their children and with their savvy taste leading the way, Alpha’s will be hands down the most sophisticated, demanding consumers the world has ever seen.

Alpha’s and their parents are currently bonding over food and the market is responding. Check out this ad for Little Spoon. For years, they have been selling good-as-homemade baby food to Millennial parents complete with cool food accessories and borderline subversive ads.

At age 8, it is predicted Alpha’s will know more about technology than the majority of adults. They have little regard for societal structures and religions, preferring to think and act for themselves.

The one thing Alpha’s are not is mass. Since the world is at their feet and they will never know life without a super-computer in their pocket, Alpha’s want to express their individuality and they want the market to provide them with the perfect options for THEM.

Alpha’s already understand they can have anything. The challenge is and will be, what items are special enough for them to purchase to represent their uniqueness.

If you have a little person or know one in your life, pay attention to the interests they develop with their parents and watch the products appear.

Enjoy!

Or how about a bright and cheery jumper from Isabel Marant? Feeling better already, aren’t you?!
